For over 60 years, the brothers of Delta Sigma Pi and corporate partners have
been supporting the education of fellow brothers through the Delta Sigma Pi
Leadership Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. A social investment in the Foundation provides funding
through academic scholarships and Fraternity educational programming.
The Mission of the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation:
"The Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation exists to generate and provide
financial support for Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity’s educational and charitable
programs, which assist members to achieve individual and professional excellence
within the business community."
All members of Delta Sigma Pi are encouraged to support the Leadership
Foundation and its mission and programs through annual contributions. The
Foundation is recognized by the federal government as a charitable and
educational corporation. All contributions are deductible for estate and income
tax purposes.
What does the Leadership Foundation do?
To fulfill its mission, the Leadership Foundation raises money from members and
other supporters and then gives that money away in the form of scholarships and
grants for educational programming of the Fraternity.
Some ways the Leadership Foundation contributes to its members:
- Awarding over $35,000 in academic scholarships annually to Deltasigs
- Awarding 32 scholarships of more than $18,000 annually to the chapters’ top
member – recognized through the Collegian of the Year program
- Awarding scholarships for Deltasigs to attend The LeaderShape Institute – an
intensive nationally-renowned leadership experience for select student leaders
In addition, the Leadership Foundation provides grants for the following educational programs:
- Providing funding for Leadership and Excellence Academies for Deltasigs with at least 10
conferences offered each year around the nation that focus on leadership, personal and professional
development of Deltasigs
- Grand Chapter Congress educational programming
- Scholarship Keys for Outstanding Business Students-presented to the highest ranking senior at each
school where Delta Sigma Pi exists
- Volunteer leadership development programming
- Visits to collegiate and alumni chapters by Educational and Leadership Consultants

"The Leadership Foundation has done an excellent job in providing
leadership training opportunities to the brothers of this Fraternity. Not only do they
bring in top quality business leaders to help mentor the collegiate brothers, but they
also offer the opportunity for collegiate brothers to meet and share their leadership
experiences with other brothers. They do this provincially and regionally at the LEAD
events, and nationally through the scholarships given to LeaderShape and GCC participants.
I have been honored to have participated in each of these, and have benefited from them
personally, professionally and fraternally. I hope that all Deltasigs will take advantage
of the opportunities the Leadership Foundation provides at some point during their
collegiate careers."

"Before the Foundation developed its current array of
leadership programs, I had the wonderful opportunity to be mentored by the
late Buzz Sutton. With a solid foundation from my Delta Sigma Pi collegiate
days, I have been able to financially support the Foundation’s mission and
activities. I was honored to serve as a Leadership Foundation Trustee as we
expanded the programs that enhance the development of today’s collegians and
tomorrow’s ethical business leaders. You too can “mentor” for the Foundation
with your time, talent, and resources – I urge you to do so today."

"The Fraternity has played a big role in my life and that is the
main reason why I continue to support the Leadership Foundation. The Foundation
selected me as one of the first LeaderShape® attendees and I continue to be one of the
biggest advocates of this outstanding opportunity for future Deltasigs. Through my
donations to the Foundation, I am investing in the future of our organization and
developing our future leaders. I am a strong believer that membership in the Fraternity
is for life and this is just one of the ways I will stay involved throughout my lifetime."

"We support the Leadership Foundation because no other organization has
impacted our lives as much as Delta Sigma Pi. We both benefit greatly from membership, learning
valuable professionals skills and gaining lifelong friendships. If not for Grand Chapter
Congress, we may never have met. It is our pleasure to give back to the Fraternity for everything
brotherhood has given us."
