To charter a new chapter, you are required to submit:

• An updated copy of your Chapter Bylaws, which do not contradict the National Bylaws, Policies and Procedures established by Delta Sigma Pi, to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
• An Officer Report
• $25 Chartering Fee and $50 Liability Insurance Premium (by mailing to Central Office). If a chapter has previously existed in the area, the chapter must also pay a rechartering fee of $25.

Be sure to check out the Chapter Locator to see if an alumni chapter or alumni contact currently exists in your area. If an alumni chapter or alumni contact currently does exist, please feel free to contact that person. If no one is listed, contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Alumni Chapters shall be called after the locality in which they are situated. No Alumni Chapter shall include the Greek letter designation of any Collegiate Chapter in its name and no Alumni Chapter shall restrict or limit its membership to alumni of any specific Collegiate Chapter or Chapters.

All alumni chapters must be individually registered and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. If not, the chapter will need to apply for an EIN/TIN with the IRS by filing a Form SS-4. Please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Once the chapter has received its EIN from the IRS, it should be reported to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Start Recruiting

Obtain a radius report by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with a brief description of how you will intend to use the contact information from Central Office. Send an email out to members on the list announcing that you are trying to start an alumni chapter. You might also mail out letters to all members on the list to help build interest.

Visit local collegiate chapters to encourage them to join once they graduate.

Find local members through Delta Sigma Pi Social Networking.

Hold monthly events, starting with an organizational meeting.

Requirements for Alumni Chapters

• Each Alumni Chapter shall maintain a minimum membership of at least ten (10) members at all times.
• Alumni Chapters should hold at least one business meeting each fiscal year at which a quorum shall be present for the purpose of electing officers. Quorum, which shall not be less than 25% of the membership in good standing of the chapter, is determined in the Alumni Chapter Bylaws.
• President, Vice President - Chapter Operations, Vice President - Finance and Vice President - Collegiate Relations are the minimum required officers of each chapter. Additional officers may be elected based on chapter bylaws.
• Alumni Chapter Officers should meet at least four times during each fiscal year.
• The Alumni Chapter President, or elected alternate, shall serve as that chapter’s Delegate on the Provincial Council.
• Each chapter has the power to determine its local dues, if any.
• Each chapter must maintain a checking account. All checks must be signed by the treasurer and any one other officer of the chapter.
